Abstract

In early childhood, one of the developments that need to be developed is social and emotional abilities that
will form the basis of their interactions in the future. This study aims to improve the social emotional abilities
of early childhood at TK Negeri Pembina 1 Palembang using the role playing method. This type of research
is Classroom Action Research which consists of 2 (two) cycles. Data collection techniques are carried out
through observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using quantitative data analysis. The
subjects of this study were 15 children in class B, with an age range of 5-6 years. Based on the results of the
study that the role playing method can improve the social emotional abilities of early childhood. This
increase can be seen from the percentage of the first cycle, namely 69% in the starting to develop category
and increasing to 81% in the developing category as expected, in the second cycle.
