Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of media in developing children's creativity through drawing activities in Group B. The focus of the research is on the application of loose parts media, which consists of various natural and artificial materials that can be used flexibly to stimulate children's imagination and innovation. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review, where relevant sources were collected and analyzed. The sources were obtained from searches on Google Scholar using the keywords "media," "creativity," and "drawing." Articles were selected based on publication years (2020 to 2024) and relevance from accredited national journals. However, the search for sources was also extended to other databases such as Science Direct, Scopus, and ERIC, providing high-quality and broader coverage journals and articles. This was done to ensure that the study is supported by more diverse and credible sources. The reduction results indicate 20 articles used for the study. The main findings include: (1) The loose parts media used in drawing vary, including natural and artificial materials; (2) The use of this media can enhance drawing skills and encourage children's creative and innovative thinking; and (3) Children in Group B show improvements in fine motor skills and self-confidence when using these media. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights for educators and parents in creating innovative and enjoyable learning experiences for early childhood.
