Abstract

The problem in this study is the low level of good moral behavior in children aged 5-6 years, due to peer interaction. Problems that are often encountered in schools include children who do not behave well morally, such as speaking in an impolite/loud tone of voice, not praying when eating/before studying, not being used to apologizing, not being used to listening to the word thank you, not being used to saying hello, not being used to shaking hands with teachers, not being used to giving help, there are children who put away toys, not being used to throwing garbage beside them, not having a patient attitude waiting for their turn. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between peer interaction and children's moral behavior. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlation method, the sample in this study was 27 children selected through a saturated sample technique, so that the entire population was used as a sample. Data were collected through observation, then analyzed using the product moment correlation formula. The results of the analysis showed a correlation value of 0.633. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between peer interaction and the moral behavior of children aged 5-6 years at Al-Anwar Kindergarten. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means that peer interaction has a significant positive relationship with children's moral behavior.
