Abstract

There have been many efforts to develop tolerance in early childhood in Indonesia in the period 2018 to 2023. However, there has been no systematic study of the variety, implementation and contribution of play activities to develop tolerance in early childhood. This article examines the results of field research regarding efforts to develop tolerance in early childhood. Literature collection utilizes the help of Publish or Perish software. This was followed by determining the Inclusion/Exclusion Phase so that 25 suitable scientific articles were obtained. The analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The results include: 1) the frequency of efforts to develop tolerance in early childhood in Indonesia is increasing, 2) the magnitude of efforts to develop tolerance focuses on the role of teachers, habituation and multicultural education, 3) the implementation of play in developing tolerance has only been discovered in one study, and 4) play activities have been proven to have a positive impact on tolerance development. Future research is needed to identify the understanding, perceptions, priorities, obstacles and needs of teachers and parents to develop tolerance in early childhood within the framework of play activities.
