Abstract
This study aims to find out the effect of eco-print batik activities on the creativity of 5–to 6-year-old children at Ummi Al-Hidayah State Kindergarten, Southwest Aceh Regency. Research methods that quantitative research methods with a pre-experimental approach are used. The population contained in this study is 5-6 years old students and the sample taken is 20 children with clas experimental. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric analysis. Based on several research results, it was concluded that there was an influence of Ecoprint batik on the development of artistic creativity. Ecoprint batik activities distribute all ideas and ideas without limits using various forms of leaves and flowers so as to produce creative works of artistic value. Ecoprint batik is one of the most attractive and safer and environmentally friendly media because the use of chemical-based synthetic dyes will have a negative impact on the environment such as soil, water, and air pollution. The results of this study show that the significance value is 0.000<0.05, the value of t obtained a tcount of 8.637, and the result of the ttable test is 2.093 and from the significant value and tcount > ttable value, which means that Ho is rejected Ha is accepted. Thus, eco-print batik activities affect the development of creativity in children.
